Lockwoods Italiana is present on the market by means of three commercial units in the company:
- Overseas Division;
- Direct – Management Italy;
- Multifirm Agents.
These units operate in four business areas:
- Contract packaging for companies : bottling and canning process using the customer’s raw materials;
- Private Labels : bottling and canning process using raw material from Lockwoods and both customer and Lockwoods specifications;
- Own Brands : bottling and canning process with raw material from Lockwoods and Lockwoods’ specifications;
- Commercialized.
Own Brands
Lockwoods Italiana has, for many years, been present on market outlets with many of its own brands that are known and appreciated for their quality by primary customers operating in the catering sector, cash and carry and retail and distribution industry.
The sales division consists of a network of multifirm agents who operate virtually nationwide and an efficient in-house structure of middle management in charge of the overseas market and important management customers.
The principle own brands of Lockwoods Italiana include Balboa, Biofood, Biodrink, Jei and Bis.
Reference market in Italy
Lockwoods Italiana deals with bottling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and canning vegetables and beverages. The reference markets are therefore the beverages and agro-food sectors.
Beverages
With regard to the varied beverages and drinks production sector, three main families of products can be identified:
- alcoholic and non-alcoholic commercial beverages : wine, beer, spirits, mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices and juices in general, sweet drinks and milk;
- instant drinks : tea, coffee;
- liquids that are by-products of foodstuffs and network water.
Agro-food Sector
With regard to the agro-food sector, Lockwoods Italiana mainly addresses the following reference markets:
- preserved foods market : vegetables, fruit, fruit in syrup, tomatoes, ready-made sauces;
- fresh produce market : string beans, peas and maize.
